Tight on seating, but amazing food. Halibut sandwich and French Onion soup was the perfect taste of Alaska and a perfect warm up.
It is a seat yourself place. The food was very good. Prices were pretty reasonable. It is packed so the service can be a little slow. My food came out really late compared to my friends. Other than that it’s a great place to visit. The fried halibut was so good. It was moist on the inside and crispy on the outside.

F Street Station is a great place to get seafood in downtown Anchorage. I have found their Texas size halibut to be a good deal on fried halibut and is a good portion for one person. They have a good selection of drinks, but usually I go for the food rather than the drinks. They do dinner specials around 6pm sometimes, and there are often amazing options not usually on the menu. If you have a group of people, there are very limited seating options and tables are first come first served. I would not recommend more than 5 people if you're trying to sit together.
My experience was pretty chill, parking during that time wasn't bad and I think it's because of Easter 🐇🐣. Now the fish and chips and Mayo Jalapeño was 🤤🤤 I ordered one to go and my friends has to King Salmon Salad and Pasta of the day. We had fish and chips for starters. Our waiter was very friendly, even though she misses a couple of things but she apologized and made it right. She will go places. #akeeper.
Cool place just behind our hotel, The reviews were good and the food looked good too. It was Friday around 5 pm so it was busy, yet the service was quick, the beers were cold, and the food was fantastic. I had the battered Halibut and Mrs. had the clam chowder both were fantastic and reasonably priced.
The best bar food that I had in a while! The restaurant is always crowded, so you may need to wait and few minutes until a seat is available. Likely it is going to be a seat at one of the bars. Get one where you see chefs cooking, it is a great show to see. My favorite was the King Salmon salad special, the fish was very fresh and tasty. Deep fried halibut is also very good.
The place was packed!! You have to find a seat yourself and it's basically bar style. It was really busy so it took a while for the food to arrive, but I sat right in front of the cooks, and they were working hard. They were funny too, and interactive with the guest which was nice to watch. The food was amazing. I got the grilled halibut sandwich and soup of the day. My friend from Alaska recommended this place to me since I've from out of town. I would definitely go back again if I get a chance in the future.
I have been eating here for 30 plus years. It's a staple in my monthly diet. It's a very small but warm environment that is always bustling and busy. The food is phenomenal with different specials every day. They have the best calamari in Alaska, the halibut is amazing, and a go to every time are the steamed/saute Katchemak Bay clams. You can not go wrong with anything on the menu. There is a lot of history here and good times to come.
